Andrew Liesching grew up in Heideveld on the Cape Flats and was one of the most skilful footballers coming from the Cape Flats. He played amateur football for Everton Football Club in Heideveld and professional football for Glendene United Football Club.

He has extensive experience in the government sector, having worked in the capacity of Senior Human Resources Officer for 12 years. He also worked in the NGO sector for the Media Training and Development Trust as the head of finance and administration. Further to that Andrew was headhunted by Rev. Pierre van den Heever, director of the Economic Enablement Initiative (EEI) in Kimberley where he served as the Human Resources Manager. Pierre van den Heever is a well-known activist, being a Trustee of the Media Training and Development Trust together with Dr. Alan Boesak and Trevor Manuel. Having worked with Advocate Rod Solomons in the government sector Andrew came to know him as a man of integrity, finger on the pulse type of person and surely a CREDIBLE person. Currently Andrew is self-employed in the electronic field (DSTV etc).

“I am a candidate for the Credible Alternative First Movement (CA1st). Please vote for us on 1 November 2021 if you want to change your current circumstances for the better, affordable electricity and water rates. We are here for YOU” Andrew Liesching
