CA1st is glad to announce Sean Lewis as its Spokesperson and Solly Moeng as Communcations Advisor.

Sean Lewis
Sean Lewis is a longtime activist and one of the founding members of the South Africa First Forum, which has now evolved into Credible Alternative First, in order to contest these elections. Solly is also one of the founding members of the South Africa First Forum.
“Much of my political growth came as result of my university student days, in which I struggled with ideas of capitalism, socialism, permanent revolution and the relationship of all of these to bread and butter issues, such as housing and labour.”
Sean has been involved in community politics in Heideveld, serving the Heideveld community as Chairman of Heideveld Youth Movement and as an executive member of the Heideveld-Vanguard Association and served the Western Province Volleyball Union as President in the mid-eighties, and he played a central role in the negotiations to create a single unified national volleyball federation in the early nineties.
Sean received a scholarship to do post-graduate studies in the USA, and while living in Albany, New York for two years from 1987-1989, he served the South African student population studying at universities across the USA, as the Media Officer in the SRC. Later, in 1992 to 1994, while studying in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, he founded the African Students Organisation at that university.
“I have also had a diverse professional career, ranging from teaching English at high school level in Cape Flats schools, to working as a Computer Programmer at UCT, as well as working as a Lecturer of English Language and Literature at UWC, before venturing in Public Relations Consulting, before coming back to IT as a Project Manager and then Manager of various portfolios”, says Sean on his extensive career.

Solly Moeng
Solly Moeng was born and raised in Soweto. He is a Brand Management and Strategic Marketing & Communications specialist, whose career has taken him around the world. Solly is French-speaking as he lived and studied in France where he acquired a French Master’s Degree at the Université de Franche-Comté, Besançon). He then went on to work in Canada and America as South African Tourism’s Marketing Manager and Country Manager, respectively, managing South Africa’s image as a nation as well as rolling out South Africa’s Tourism growth strategy in both America and Canada.
Solly is an Independent Director of the Western Province Professional Rugby (WPPR), in South Africa. As a member of the Management Committee, he chairs the company’s marketing, media and communications sub-committee.
He is a well-known political commentator on radio and television. He is also a freelance columnist. Solly’s experience and expertise in holistic Brand Management, Strategic Internal & External Communications, PR and Media Relations and Stakeholder Engagement Strategies drove him to establish the Africa Brand Summit. He also convenes the Africa Brand Summit.
Solly is known for analyzing, questioning and providing answers to debates around political strategy and implementation as well as sharing contextualised and balanced views on socio-economic situations in all their forms in South Africa.
